Your future role as Researcher
You will be part of the Analysis EMEA Team and perform chemical analyses for product and process development projects. You will work with Wet Chemical Analysis and develop expertise in characterization of surfactants.


Main responsibilities:
Prepare, execute, evaluate, and report analytical requests to support R&D projects.
Perform hands-on laboratory work and general tasks necessary for laboratory operations.
Act as an analytical expert in questions related to product and process development, customer complaints, trouble shooting in production etc.
Take responsibility for development, implementation, and validation of analytical methods.



We believe you bring
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with relevant experience.
Excellent skills in Wet Chemistry Analyses.
Experience in practical laboratory work and in lab and equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Fluency in written and spoken English, Swedish in an advantage.



Great if you have
Experience in analysis of surfactants and in surfactant characterization (determination of critical micelle concentration, contact angle, surface tension, etc.).
Good knowledge and understanding of validation/statistics.
Experience with research and method development.
Good knowledge in organic chemistry.
Good understanding of ISO 17025.

As an Analytical Chemist, your main area of responsibility will be to perform chemical analyses in support of process and product development. You will analyze samples collected from pilot plant runs and lab synthesis experiments to investigate chemical processes, support application development and participate in research projects. Idependantly work on analysis requests and consult with customers.
Evaluate and report results.
Actively participate in and contribute with ideas to research projects.
Participate in the laboratory’s HSE work and lab maintenance and improvement activities.
Provide support to Applications, Technology, Production, Q&C laboratory and Customer Service.



Qualifications
To be successful in this position we believe that you enjoy practical work in the laboratory combined with theoretical challenges and customer support. Further, you are result-oriented, reliable and have good interpersonal skills as well as possess the ability to take own and drive initiatives. We also see that you have:
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in chemistry with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
Experience with GC/GC-MS, including method development and instrument maintenance.
Good practical laboratory skills including sample preparation and good knowledge of modern analysis techniques including LC and wet chemical analysis.
Good knowledge in Organic Chemistry.
Fluency in written and spoken English, Swedish in an advantage

QRIOS Life Science and Engineering is now recruiting an analytical chemist to join a process development team as a consultant.

About the position
As an analytical chemist you will mainly be responsible for performing chemical analyses to support process and product development. You will be playing a key role in pilot plant runs, where you will serve as a support to reach optimal process conditions. You will analyze samples collected lab synthesis experiments to investigate chemical processes, support application development and participate in research projects. As an expert in chemical analysis, you will work with the development of analytical methods and maintain and troubleshoot analysis instruments.
