We are looking for a Project Controller who will be responsible for mid-large projects. Preferably located in Stenungsund (or Porvoo).
In this role, we need you to perform early phases cost estimates for CAPEX investment projects, review the content and impact of changes and secure the correct use of contingency.
You will guarantee the overall control of the investment projects in the field of budget assessments and control the scheduling of the total project including time deadlines and the overall engineering process. He/she ensures that all project objectives are realised in a timely and cost efficient way. This person assesses the cost effectiveness of the estimates and project execution.
It’s your responsibility to:
Screen individual study/project proposals based on procedure agreements, costs and bench marks. Challenge the contractor to bring the estimates to a market compliant level.
Execute reviews before, during and after projects in order to strive for continuous improvement related to quality and cost efficiency.
Follow up the adherence to the project plan and in particular the critical path activities and expediting efforts and results.
Perform Estimates to Complete (ETC) as required on execution projects.
Perform contract quality controls to guarantee correct payments to the Eng. Partners.
Assure correct progress and cost reporting.
About you
You are the right person for us if you have a Master degree in Engineering with preference to electro-mechanics or chemistry industry and a minimum of 8 years’ experience or equivalent by relevant project practical experience in high complexity projects. We need you to have knowledge of Project Management and Project Engineering in all its aspects and phases, also knowledge of Scheduling tools (e.g. Primavera, MS Project…) and Knowledge of Estimating tools (e.g. Aspentech, Cleopatra, Monte Carlo…).
In this role, you will work closely with the Project and Engineering Manager, the Central Development Team, Technology Engineers, Finance and Production units, Maintenance Managers and Safety Department. You will also works closely with the Engineering contractor and the Contractors to progress the Project schedule & Cost. This requires a high capability to engage, collaborate and steer people in a complex environment and within the contractual rights and obligations.
