We are now looking for a Process Technology Specialists to strengthen Perstorp’s Global Technology & Investment organization (GTI).
The Process Technology Specialists are Perstorp’s experts within the internally developed technologies. They are typically acting in the same way as external technology licensors in investment projects to safeguard/guarantee that the technical functions will be delivered. Another responsibility for the Process Technology Specialists is to steer internal development/ improvements of the technologies to ensure continued world class performance of Perstorp’s plants. The identified Growth projects will include both these areas and the Process Technology Specialists will be crucial to a successful development and growth of the company. As our global organization serves all our manufacturing sites, the position will allow for participation in investments and development projects worldwide.
As Process Technology Specialist you will be part of Perstorp’s Global Technology & Investment organization (GTI). We are a team with about 100+ professionals, where a big part are technology and process engineers with high commitment and experience and are the heart and core of the business. Our competence is a main enabler for development of Perstorp’s business and production, with a global portfolio of over 150 projects. Main drivers for PCG:s acquisition of Perstorp were its recognized position within Sustainability as well as Technology in the specialty chemicals markets. We are very proud of this recognition and are now in a position where we can add more value, both to existing business and through the identified additional Growth projects.
Your background
Meritorious technical competence:
You have a successful track record of leading and guiding the process discipline in all project phases - from idea evaluation to start-up of investments.
In your previous assignments you have acted as process lead in projects, using models as EPC, EPCM or in-house.
Your scope covers complex chemical engineering design and even design of critical process equipment such as reactors, evaporators and distillations towers.
You have strong business acumen and ability to do early cost estimates.
The Process Technology Specialist is a chemical engineer with 8+ years of experience from process engineering.

In your future role as Continuous Improvement Manager you will 

* Build organizational capabilities by champion, develop and sustain a culture of continuous improvement, develop and expand local capabilities in applying continuous improvement tools and methods. 
* Improve site performance by supporting and challenging the workforce and local MT in direction setting, prioritization (timing, resources, and sequence of actions) and implementation of improvement activities to best achieve the targets for the key performance indicators of the yearly site improvement plan. This includes the organizational and strategic deployment throughout the site
* Drive and manage the improvement portfolio by identifying, validate and drive new improvement opportunities and promote the passion for excellence and delivering on commitment values.
* Manage the improvement project funnel including scoping, project assignment, resource planning, tracking of progress and benefits and controlling sustainability of outcomes. 
* Lead and support the Nouryon Lean Foundations development on site 
* Help the site to define Key Performance Indicator (KPI)
* Train employees in the meaning of continuous improvement and explain different KPIs
* See to that the site’s personnel are informed regularly about the improvements done
Develop a strategy for visual systems and transfer of best practices within the site

We believe you bring 

* University Degree in Chemical/Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and have good overall knowledge of technology and chemistry    
* Have several years of relevant experience from the industry, including production, maintenance and QHSE&S
* Experience from a managerial position, or interest in developing own leadership capabilities
* Experience working with Six Sigma is meritorious e.g Black belt certified. If not Nouryon trained Black/Brown Belt be willing to commit to certification.
* Able to lead workshops and working groups
* Good knowledge in Swedish and English, verbal and writing

About the section GTI

Global Technology and Investments (GTI) is a global department within the Integrated supply chain function at Perstorp. The department is responsible for setting the overall company Technology Strategy, develop technical solutions, execute investment projects and optimize plant performance across Perstorp production sites.



Staff members in Global Technology and Investments are primarily located in Stenungsund and Perstorp. This position will be located in Stenungsund. You will report to the Process Technology Manager and be part of a group with a high team spirit and an innovative attitude.



What about this job?

Perstorp want to strengthen the Process Engineering team with a Process Engineer that is motivated by continuously making things better. The job is to improve the performance of Perstorps production plant in Stenungsund and we are searching for someone who is energetic, structured with strong analytical skills.



You will take on the responsibility at one or two factories we have in mind. As mentioned, you will optimize these factories through analysis and by identifying bottlenecks. According to your suggested ideas and actions you will be a part of the implementation. Communication is key to make others involved in the project and ensure sustainable results.

The work tasks will range from:

- Troubleshooting and optimization of Perstorp production plants using Six Sigma methodology
- Design and execution of investment projects, improving safety, sustainability, production or reliability
- Network with other productions sites and engineers to share best practices
- Work with process safety related topics exemplified by risk analysis
- Support the transformation of the production plants to become sustainable from an environmental perspective




Qualifications we look for

- Master degree within chemical engineering or relevant engineering field
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Process Engineer or equivalent, in a process industry
- Experience within Six Sigma, Lean or similar is beneficial
- Experience working in projects with multidisciplinary scope is very beneficial
- A structured and process oriented mindset
- Able to combine a practical, theoretical and strategical approach
- Actively shares knowledge, has an inclusive and coaching approach
- Able to travel to other sites as necessary
- Good proficiency in Swedish and English language
